how to calculate the price of your painting

  1. choose a length and a width:

    8” — 9” — 10” — 12” — 16” — 18” — 20” — 24” — 30” — 36” — 40” — 48”

  2. multiply length times width to calculate surface area

  3. apply price-per-sq.inch based on surface area:

small painting: if SA is less than 200, cost is $1.20 per sq. inch

cost of small painting = (length)*(width)*($1.20)

medium-sized painting: if SA is equal to or between 200 and 600, cost is $1.00 per sq. inch

cost of medium-sized painting = (length)*(width)*($1.00)

large painting: if SA is more than 600, cost is $0.80 per sq. inch

cost of large painting = (length)*(width)*($0.80)

example:

  1. Painting is 16x20”.

  2. 16*20=320.

  3. 200<320<600. (320sq.in.)*($1.00/sq.in.)=$320.
